This book comprehensively covers the physics, synthesis, functionalization, characterization and advanced technological applications of diamane and their functional derivatives. The recent advances in nanodiamond and related nanomaterials are discussed, along with a special focus on the use of diamane for flexible electronics, optoelectronics, quantum electronics, solar cells, supercapacitors, batteries, and next-generation energy storage devices. New updates are provided on the effect of doping and structural twist on the electrochemical performance of electrode materials based on fluorinated and hydrogenated diamane and 2D diamonds. The book also covers the physical and chemical properties of diamanes and diamanoids, including applications.Researchers/academics from various disciplines including physics, chemistry, materials science, nanoscience and nanotechnology, mechanical engineering, chemical engineering and energy engineering. Also available in print.Mode of access: World Wide Web.System requirements: Adobe Acrobat Reader, EPUB reader, or Kindle reader.Dr. Santosh K. Tiwari is an Assistant Professor and faculty member in charge of the Centre for New Materials & Surface Engineering, at NMAMIT, Nitte, India (Visiting faculty, GIFT, GU, Nanning, China). He received a PhD in 2D materials-based polymer nanocomposites from IIT Dhanbad, India. He then worked for over five years with several highly ranked research labs and universities around the globe, including HSCL, Hanynag University in Seoul, Korea, GIFT, GU in Nanning, China, and the University of Warsaw in Poland. He has published more than 70 articles (h-index 27) and five books with reputed international publishers. His research interests are in the areas of new materials, 2D nanomaterials, materials for extreme environments, and mechanical properties. Dr. Arpan Kumar Nayak is a Research Professor at Konkuk University, Seoul, South Korea. His research mainly focuses on the synthesis of various nanostructured materials towards environment and energy applications. He has published more than 80 articles in various international journals (h-index 25, i-index 46), Six books, and is the editor-in-chief of the International Research Journal of Multidisciplinary Technovation and Bulletin of Scientific Research.Title from PDF title page (viewed on May 1, 2024).
