Shinde and Chandra Sekhar Rout.Over recent decades, there has been significant progress in designing two-dimensional material (2D)-based electrocatalysts for different reactions. Researchers have become increasingly interested in 2D materials for electrocatalytic applications because of their unique and superior physicochemical characteristics. This book provides a concise overview of recent advances in the engineering and structural modification of 2D materials at the nanoscale, as well as their applications in electrocatalytic applications. The subject matter covers everything from the introduction of 2D materials, numerous engineering approaches to modifying these materials, principles of electrocatalytic reactions, and the role of engineered 2D materials in reactions, and also addresses challenges and opportunities.Researchers and postgraduate students who are curious about electrocatalysts, 2D materials, properties and engineering of 2D materials, and their role as electrocatalysts. Also available in print.Mode of access: World Wide Web.System requirements: Adobe Acrobat Reader, EPUB reader, or Kindle reader.Chandra Sekhar Rout is a Full Professor at the Centre for Nano & Material Sciences (CNMS) at Jain University in India. He received his PhD from JNCASR, Bangalore, in 2008. He conducted his postdoctoral research at National University of Singapore, Purdue University, and UNIST in South Korea. He was awarded the prestigious Ramanujan Fellowship and Young Scientist Award of the Department of Science and Technology, Govt of India, in 2013, the emerging investigator award 2017 from Elsevier, the IAAM medal 2017 from the International Association of Advanced Materials 2017, and the young researcher award from Venus International Foundation in 2015. Professor Rout has authored over 200 research papers in international journals and edited four books with an h-index of 56 and total citations >13,000. He was ranked in the top 2% of scientists in India by Stanford in 2020-2023.Title from PDF title page (viewed on March 4, 2024).
