This reference text covers the fundamentals and applications of various types of photocatalyst materials, including metal oxides, rare earth doped oxides, phosphor coupled metal oxides, nanocomposites and perovskite/metal organic frameworks for wastewater treatment and the hydrogen evolution process. The benefits and drawbacks of these materials are covered, and the methods for improving the photocatalytic activity of the materials are discussed, providing broad, in-depth knowledge and understanding for the sustainable development of the technologies. The book also provides future perspectives, discusses the key challenges and outlines the need for advanced, energy efficient, non-toxic photocatalytic materials for wastewater treatment.Materials scientists, postgraduates and researchers working in the field of environmental science and engineering. Also available in print.Mode of access: World Wide Web.System requirements: Adobe Acrobat Reader, EPUB reader, or Kindle reader.Dr. Vijay B.
