Conclusion, challenges, and future perspectives.Contamination in the environment is a major concern because of the harmful effects on ecosystems and human health, and dyes are increasingly common industry-contributed pollutants. This book offers a comprehensive analysis of the primary, secondary, and tertiary wastewater treatment systems that are in use across the globe. Covering the latest research in water purification techniques, the book contains analysis of photocatalysis and the mechanisms involved, findings of an in-depth investigation into different dyes, their preparation and the threats they pose, and concludes with discussion of the chemistry of green biopolymers and their doping impact with metal, metal oxides, and metal sulfide nanomaterials. The book will appeal to researchers and postgraduate students working in the fields of materials science, nanoscience and nanotechnology for environmental remediation.Researchers and postgraduate students working in the fields of materials science, nanoscience and nanotechnology for environmental remediation, particularly green polymers, degradation of dyes, photocatalysis and wastewater treatment. Also available in print.Mode of access: World Wide Web.System requirements: Adobe Acrobat Reader, EPUB reader, or Kindle reader.Dr. Muhammad Ikram is an Assistant Professor of Physics at Government College University, Lahore. He received the Seal of Excellence Marie Sk±odowska Curie Actions Individual Fellowship in 2017 and 2020, and was included in the top 2% of scientists from Pakistan announced by Stanford University in 2021 and 2022. He was awarded an IOP outstanding reviewer award in nanoscience and nanotechnology in 2021 and is the author of 138 international publications and four books. Muhammad Ahsaan Bari obtained his Master's degree in material physics from GCU Lahore. He completed his MPhil research work in the Solar Cell Applications Lab at GCU Lahore and later worked as Research Associate in the same lab on the field of catalytic and photocatalytic degradation of organic dyes. Dr. Junaid Haider received his Master's degree in food science and technology from Jiangnan University Wuxi, China and his PhD in biochemistry and molecular biology from the Tianjin Institute of Industrial Biotechnology, Chinese Academy of Sciences (TIB-CAS). He is currently a Postdoc Fellow at TIB-CAS.Title from PDF title page (viewed on March 31, 2023).
