His Habilitation thesis in 2007 was entitled "From microquasars to enshrouded binary systems: the Universe of extreme sources". He is an Elected member of Science Faculty Council of University of Paris, is a member of the LIGO-Virgo collaboration, and has organised numerous workshops on binary systems.
